| D & M Telemarketing Ltd, widely known as Telemarketing, was established
in 1994. It is considered the market leader in teleshopping and direct
marketing with unique and exclusive products through television and catalogues.
The company is considered a pioneer in the Cypriot market and has introduced
new ethics, which was a considerable factor in the acceptance of the company
by the consumers. It has managed to raise the image of direct marketers,
which in the early 90's, was at a very low point.
On the 2nd August 2000, D & M Telemarketing was turned into a public
company and from the 3rd July 2001, its shares were introduced to the
Cyprus Stock Exchange. This has helped the company to expand and face
the new challenges that arise by the introduction of Cyprus in the European
Union and the globalisation of the markets. Apart from the obvious synergies deriving from this acquisition, Telemarketing will be the T-commerce (e-commerce through TV) section of the interactive T.V. project that LTV plans to introduce soon, through a digital TV platform. Telemarketing is currently broadcasting through 4 national TV channels, commercial spots, short form and long form commercials (infomercials), The retail stores include: 7 owned stores. The company has its own fulfilment operation through individual distribution channels in each major city, with delivery service to the customer’s home. The fulfilment operation may handle up to 200 packages per day. It also has a customer database of 30,000 customers. Apart from teleshopping, the company's operations include e-commerce, the promotion of collectible series, sales through catalogues, inserts in magazines, mailing lists and direct mail.
